The Award Winning Sports Spectacular conducts activities and events, addressing the needs of less fortunate children and families in various parts of the country and as otherwise possible. This exciting charity was established nearly five decades ago, in response to the need for major programs and activities for youth, senior citizens, disabled people, in addition to conducting life-saving research, leading to the understanding and prevention of additional homicides, abuse, numerous health and genetic deficiencies found in our children, as well as adults. Special attention is given to child abuse and victim's rights.
The Sports Spectacular pays special attention to child abuse and victim's rights provides, life-changing alternatives for young people participating and coopoerates with the following organizations and dozens of others: Kiwanis International, Fairview & Metropolitan State Hospitals, San Diego and Los Angeles Children‘s Hospitals and Saint Judes Hospital, and the U.S. Coast Guard, King Museum Memphis, and King-Drew Medical Center Auxiliary. The focus is to support expert consultation and cutting-edge research to find new and improved methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment for all types of health and nutritional disorders, including physical and mental disabilities, sickle cell, dyslexia, heart disease, hypertension and diabetes.
The first Sports Spectacular Regional and National Championships were held in 1981-1983, under the auspices of Federal Regional Council 9, Los Angeles Federal Executive Board, Executive Office of The President (CSA/OEO), and National Youth Sports Program (NYSP). At that time, to better identify regional and national winners, Sports Spectacular separated service its area into ten regions, matching the regions established by the ten Federal Regional Councils, and a host of grantees and related agencies across the nation.
Sports Spectacular then appointed a president and director to represent each the ten regions. That organizational structure remains in place today SPORTS SPECTACULAR OPERATING REGIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
OF SPORTS SPECTACULAR
Article I
The name of this corporation shall be
SPORTS SPECTACULAR
Article II
The purposes for which this corporation is formed are:
(a) The specific and primary purposes for which this corporation is formed are to: organize, operate and maintain youth centers, containing facilities for sports events, recreational activities and instructions in such events and activities for youth who, because of financial limitations of their parents or guardians, would be unable to enjoy such opportunities in the general areas in which they live, including by way of education but without limitation to the following:
1. To promote and conduct boxing, wrestling, and athletic contests and exhibitions of every kind and description.
2. To engage in the publication of “iT”, Voice of America’s Youth, which shall be conducted by the youth connected with Sports Spectacular for the purpose of giving publicity to the activities of such youth, for developing the writing talents of said youth and for providing an open forum in which youth may express their positive views and sentiments with respects to event in the world which affects them.
(b) The general purposes for which this corporationis formed are to operate exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes.
